Static sites are underrated for local business
Most local-business websites don’t need a database, a login, or a server that stays awake at 2am. They need to load fast, look credible, and turn a visitor into a phone call or a form fill.
For that, a static site behind a CDN is hard to beat:
- Cheap. Flat files on object storage cost basically nothing to serve.
- Fast. No server round-trip means great Core Web Vitals, which helps local SEO.
- Durable. Nothing to patch, nothing to get hacked.
The one dynamic bit — the contact form — can live in a single shared function. One endpoint, many sites. That’s the whole trick.
